San José is a wild Central American town. It's the epicenter of gay life in Costa Rica with a nice roster of gay venues and very friendly locals. Most likely, you'll be rolling through on the way to somewhere else in the country (Rick Steeves was too green to actually leave the airport). With my guide, you'll appreciate knowing where to go, no matter which night you're there, and how safely get to and from where you're going—without getting taken advantage of or putting yourself in harms way. This travel guide is intended for ADULT GAY MEN. It's written directly from my perspective (an American in my 30's) and that of my local friends in San Jose. We're not travel agents, nor associated with the travel industry. We're normal professionals who like to laugh, lust and have one heck of a great time when we all get together.
